Angle Health is an AI-enabled healthcare benefits solution for employers. Angle was founded by two former Palantir engineers who are mission driven to rebuild the health plan stack from the ground up. Angle Health delivers a simple, fully digital experience for employers, brokers, and members with machine learning as core infrastructure, powering and streamlining underwriting, operations, and member engagement. Aloft VC participated in Angle Health's 2022 Series A alongside new and existing investors Portage Ventures, PruVen, and Blumberg Capital Partners.

The Beans is a technology company operating at the intersection of mental health and financial well being. The Beans automates financial planning and partners with organizations such as Head Start to provide financial tools to improve the mental and financial health of members of the Caring Class: those working in education, healthcare, nonprofits, and the public sector. Aloft VC participated in The Beans' 2022 Seed Round alongside Precursor Ventures and other top tier venture funds.

GoCheck was founded by Dr. David Huang, the coinventor of optical coherence tomography, and has developed advanced software to create and interpret high quality images of the eye with nothing more than an iPhone. GoCheck’s software solution places advanced vision screening in the hands of pediatricians and family practice doctors.  GoCheck is also backed by Mark Benioff, Mucker Capital, Interwest Partners, FCA Venture Partners, and Hatteras Venture Partners.

Led by financial industry powerhouse Sallie Krawcheck, who held the CEO positions at Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, and Citi Wealth Management, Ellevest is a digital investment platform focused on closing the gender investing gap by helping women meet their financial goals. Ellevest passed $1 billion in AUM in May 2021, and is also backed by industry leaders including Paypal, Mastercard, Pivotal Ventures, and Eric Schmidt.

FocusMotion developed a complete connected recovery system for patients who have undergone orthopedic surgery, allowing for dynamic adjustment to rehabilitation protocols and more effective physical therapy. Backed by Bryant Stibel, Courtside Ventures, Scrum Ventures, Cedars Sinai Ventures, and Elysian Park Ventures, Focus Motion was acquired in 2022.

Niantic created the revolutionary augmented reality games Ingress, Pokemon GO, and Harry Potter Wizards Unite, and is also building the critical infrastructure on which the augmented reality ecosystem is being built. Niantic is also backed by Founders Fund, Spark Capital, IVP, Battery Ventures, and Google Ventures.

Cooler Heads has developed an FDA-cleared scalp cooling device that is portable, affordable, and easy to self-administer to help cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy preserve their hair. Aloft led Cooler Heads’ Seed round of financing, joined by top-tier venture capital firms and industry leaders including Robin Hood Ventures, Ad Astra, Gaingels, and Dr. Stan Marks. Crystal serves on the Cooler Heads board.

Siren Care built a novel way to embed electronics directly inside of fabric to create smart textiles that are flexible, washable, and mass producible. Siren’s first product is a real-time injury detecting sock to help diabetics prevent amputations. Anathem led Siren’s Series B financing round, joined by top-tier venture capital firms Founders Fund, DCM, 500 Startups, and Khosla Ventures. Crystal serves as an advisor to Siren.

Brave Health is a national, virtual-first behavioral health provider focused on serving Medicaid members. Brave Health has grown exponentially since Aloft invested, reflecting the urgent need for its services, and now serves over 65 million covered lives across more than 200 health plan contracts in 18 states. Other investors include Union Square Ventures and City Light Capital, and the company recently announced its $40 million growth round led by Andy Slavitt's Town Hall Ventures.

Founded by Ethan Thornton, a Thiel Fellow who left MIT to transform the future of defense with distributed, field-sourceable hydrogen fuel, Mach Industries is operating in semi-stealth as it builds critical national security tools for the United States and its allies. With a vertically integrated energy chain, Mach offers capabilities that are impossible with today’s technology. Co-investors include Sequoia, 1517 Fund, Marque Ventures, and the Thiel Fellowship.

Karoo Health combines dedicated on-site and virtual care teams with value-based technology to help cardiology networks, health plans, and health systems transition to and succeed in outcomes-driven initiatives and contracts, lowering costs of care while significantly improving patient outcomes in the cardiac vertical. Co-investors include Panoramic Ventures, FirstMile Ventures, and First Trust Capital Partners.
